Bio

Adam Kirkpatrick is an amateur photographer living in the Washington, DC area whose interest in photography began twenty five years ago when a friend introduced him to the world of 35 mm cameras. Currently he shoots only in digital, using a Canon 30D. His photography is eclectic, his interests, many, but an ongoing ambition is capturing the extraordinary facets and emotions of ordinary life and moments in time. Adam's photography is influenced by a working relationship with professional artists who emphasize the interplay of light and shadows.

The Galleries displaying Adam's work show his particular fascination with faces that exude character and personal history. Additionally, his photos of cowboys, rodeos and rodeo events, bikers and biker gatherings are the result of his volunteer work with the Atlantic States Gay Rodeo Association as well as Rolling Thunder, an organization honoring POW's/MIA's each Memorial week-end in Washington, DC.
